The childhood of Pickler was not a smooth one. As a young girl her mother fled in order to escape an abusive relationship. Her return to Pickler's world in 1995 when she was given custody of her. However it did not take place as expected. Pickler was reunited with her grandparents at twelve years old. Her grandparents brought them through adulthood. Pickler could not be a parent to her children in their absence. Pickler said she had no time for study, she decided learning how to cook and clean from a very early time. Pickler was a member of the teams that cheered for both high school and middle-school. North Stanly High School graduated in the year 2004. Pickler is also a contestant in a beauty pageant.
