Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actress singer and music producer. Her mom raised her in the USA, where she faced numerous racial slurs that made her feel like an unwanted person. It was in her ninth grade when she began to gain confidence after receiving a rousing ovation at an audition. Not only did it boost her confidence but her dreams transformed. In 1992, she earned her master's degree from the city's Julliard School. In 1993, she had her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was called You've Got Mail. Her biggest breakthrough was when she starred in the role in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway production of Spamalot winning not just an award called the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. The following year she was made the lead character the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her becoming more famous. She is known as a performer and released her own single and an extended version of her play. Also, she's an activist and is a tireless advocate for LGBT rights.
